Three teams share first place on 13 points after round six of Vietnam's 2026/27 First Division, the second tier below the V.League. Leaders Hung Yen suffered their first defeat of the season on 1 November, losing 2-1 at Ba Ria to Binh Minh Sai Gon, who played the whole second half with ten men. Hung Yen stay top on goal difference, with Becamex TP.HCM and Thai Nguyen also on 13.

Ten men, three points

According to Tuoi Tre, Binh Minh Sai Gon went ahead in the first half on the counter, Jok Atem switching play for Bui Duy Nam to finish past goalkeeper Huynh Tuan Linh. Midfielder Le Van Dat was sent off in first-half stoppage time (45+2) for a second yellow after a clash with Ta Xuan Truong. Hung Yen levelled from the penalty spot through Joseph Khalio after a Trinh Van Ha handball, but substitute Ho Minh Quyen won it on 86 minutes. Coach Ngo Quang Sang's side, who only recently moved from Dong Thap to Ho Chi Minh City, are now fourth on 12 points.

A clean sweep for Ho Chi Minh City

SGGP and Bongda24h both note that all four Ho Chi Minh City clubs won this round. CLB TP.HCM beat promotion contenders Cong An Nhan Dan (CAND) 1-0 at the PVF ground through Trinh Quang Truong's 11th-minute goal. Dai hoc Van Hien won 2-0 away at Thai Nguyen, with Nguyen Van Ngoc scoring on 20 minutes and Nguyen Van Van on 86, ending the hosts' unbeaten run. Becamex TP.HCM had come from behind to win 2-1 at Phu Tho on 31 October.

In Hue, Bongda24h reports that centre-back Nguyen Luong Tuan Khai, a Vietnam U23 player at the 2026 Asian Games, sliced a clearance into his own net early in the second half to give Khanh Hoa a 2-1 win. Quy Nhon United and Long An drew 0-0.
