Hưng Yên and Thái Nguyên enter round three of the 2026/27 V.League 2 season on six points each. According to the Vietnam Professional Football preview, Khatoco Khánh Hòa, Becamex TP.HCM and Đại học Văn Hiến follow on four points. Seven fixtures are scheduled between 16 and 18 October.

Leaders face different challenges

Hưng Yên meet Công an Nhân dân at PVF on 17 October after scoring 11 goals in wins over Thép Cần Thơ and Xuân Thiện Phú Thọ. CAND have three points, having beaten Long An before losing 4-1 to Khánh Hòa.

Thái Nguyên host Huế on 18 October. The home side have won twice, while Huế earned their first point against Quy Nhơn United. Sunday's other fixtures send Khánh Hòa to Long An and pair TP.HCM with Becamex TP.HCM at Bà Rịa. Becamex recently came from behind to beat Lâm Đồng 3-1.

These figures describe the completed opening rounds, rather than establishing how the next matches will finish.

Lower-ranked teams seek improvement

The round begins on 16 October with Bình Minh Sài Gòn hosting Quy Nhơn United at Bà Rịa. They have three points and one point respectively.

On 17 October, winless Lâm Đồng welcome Đại học Văn Hiến to Đà Lạt. Thép Cần Thơ and Xuân Thiện Phú Thọ, both on one point, also meet that day.

The close early standings leave several teams within reach of the leaders. Home advantage and recent performances provide context for the programme, but the round-three points remain to be earned.
