Jeremy Jacquet has won Liverpool's Standard Chartered Men's Player of the Month award for August and September. The club announced the result on October 16, giving the summer arrival from Stade Rennais the honour at his first opportunity.
Supporters decide the club award
The result came from voting on Liverpoolfc.com. Cody Gakpo finished second and Alexander Isak third.
Receiving the award at the AXA Training Centre, Jacquet thanked teammates and supporters. He described being chosen by fans as special and expressed hope of earning further recognition.
This is Liverpool's internal award covering the opening two months. It is separate from the Premier League's monthly prize, for which the club says he received a nomination rather than an announced victory.
Seven appearances in the assessed period
The 21-year-old defender appeared in all seven Liverpool matches across August and September, starting six. His debut came in the opening-weekend 2-2 draw away at Newcastle United.
He contributed to a defence that recorded three consecutive Premier League clean sheets in September. Those performances belong to the period being assessed, rather than matches newly played on award day.
The club also notes that Jacquet earned his first two senior France caps during the recent international window. Together, those milestones frame the start of his Liverpool career.
Winning the supporters' vote does not itself determine future team selection. It recognises completed contributions, while Jacquet's stated ambition is to maintain his work and earn further acknowledgement through the matches ahead.
