Liverpool Women have received the Best Club Fan Engagement honour at the 2026 Northwest Football Awards. According to Liverpool's announcement, the recognition follows a season-long programme shaped by supporter feedback before the 2025-26 campaign.
The award recognises efforts to strengthen relationships between clubs and their supporters. The regional awards have celebrated activity on and off the pitch for almost two decades.
Personal contact around matchdays
Liverpool says its approach centres on access, belonging and inclusion. Activities include surprise player appearances on the concourse before matches and post-match meet-and-greet sessions, bringing supporters into direct contact with the team.
The programme also extends beyond matchdays. At the beginning of 2025-26, season-ticket holders attended a question-and-answer session with head coach Gareth Taylor and captain Grace Fisk. It gave supporters and the squad an opportunity to discuss their ambitions for the seasons ahead.
The club groups those informal experiences under its Magic Moments approach, intended to make fans feel connected with players and valued within the team's wider journey.
Forum provides a route for feedback
A Fan Forum relaunched earlier in the year supports more open dialogue. Liverpool describes it as a place to test ideas, gather reactions, understand different perspectives and develop future initiatives with their intended participants.
Chief financial officer and board member Jenny Beacham says the club intends to build on the previous season through channels such as the forum. Developing further experiences and responding directly to supporters' views are the next steps outlined in the club's programme.
