T1 beat Karmine Corp 3-1 on the morning of November 7 in Vietnam to claim the final semi-final berth at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. The result sent Faker and his teammates into the last four for a sixth consecutive year, a run dating back to 2021, Tuổi Trẻ reported.

The South Korean team are scheduled to face Bilibili Gaming next. TSN 360 lists the match for 05:00 Vietnam time on November 9. The fixture remains subject to change, and no result has yet been established.

A fourth-game finish

T1 took the first two games against Karmine Corp before the European side reduced the deficit to 2-1. The defending champions then won game four to close out the series.

In a best-of-five contest, a team needs three game wins to advance. T1's fourth-game victory therefore settled the quarter-final without a deciding fifth game.

Afterwards, Faker, whose real name is Lee Sang-hyeok, credited his team's coordination in fights. He said the match had unfolded in line with the team's plans and hoped the semi-final would also be an entertaining contest.

The remaining field

Bilibili Gaming reached the last four by beating Dplus KIA 3-0, according to Tuổi Trẻ. Faker praised the Chinese side's form and said they were capable of winning the title. He noted that Bilibili had eliminated two LCK representatives, Hanwha Life Esports and Dplus KIA.

The four semi-finalists after T1's victory comprised South Korean teams T1 and Gen.G and Chinese representatives Bilibili Gaming and Invictus Gaming. The subsequent matches will decide the finalists.

T1 are seeking a fourth consecutive world title after winning the 2023, 2024 and 2025 editions. The Karmine Corp result confirms their place in the semi-finals; the outcome of their title defence remains open.
