Vietnam's government issued Resolution 303/NQ-CP on September 30, assigning localities a target of 899,857 social and rental homes for 2026–2030. This comprises 708,834 homes for sale or lease-purchase and 191,023 rental homes.
The resolution calls for a greater share of social housing for rent and lease-purchase, with land and administrative support to meet workers' needs. Localities must incorporate the targets into annual plans and review projects. These are five-year development targets, not a tally of homes already completed.
