Trungnam Group is preparing the Dinh Lap 5 wind project in Lang Son, according to the Government News website.

The planned plant has a design capacity of 100 MW and investment of 4,079.5 billion dong, with operation targeted for the fourth quarter of 2028.

A staged project schedule

The project covers locations in Dinh Lap, Kien Moc and Chau Son communes.

Preparation is scheduled from the third quarter of 2026 to the second quarter of 2027. Implementation is planned from the third quarter of 2027 through the third quarter of 2028.

Infrastructure includes turbines, internal medium-voltage cables, a 220 kV substation with two 63 MVA transformers and a double-circuit 220 kV connection.

Those specifications describe the proposed facility. They do not mean the plant is already generating electricity.

Expansion into northern Vietnam

The report presents Dinh Lap 5 as an initial step in Trungnam's planned northern energy expansion.

The company expects the project to add renewable supply and support the regional power system.

Such statements concern intended future effects rather than measured output.

Long-term electricity-shortfall estimates cited in the original article are forecasts, not an assessment of immediate supply conditions.

Trungnam says it will coordinate with local authorities on land, construction, environmental and other requirements.

The confirmed stage is therefore project preparation. Construction, completion and generation remain future steps within the published schedule.
