VTV Bình Điền Long An became the third club to secure a top-four place in Vietnam's 2026 national women's volleyball championship after beating LPBank Ninh Bình 3–0 on 19 October. All four matches that day ended in straight sets, affecting both semifinal qualification and the lower-table race.
Long An wins key qualification match
The defending champion prevailed 25–20, 25–22, 25–21, joining HCĐG Lào Cai and Hà Nội in the title-contending group.
Coach Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Hoa's side still showed weaknesses in reception and blocking, but attacking contributions from Jessica Mruzik, Trà My and Như Anh proved decisive. Ninh Bình's limited personnel prevented it from establishing the intended performance.
Binh chủng Thông tin then beat a rotated HCĐG Lào Cai side 25–17, 25–20, 25–23. That kept the military club fourth before an important meeting with LPBank Ninh Bình.
Lower-table results remain significant
XMLS Thanh Hóa surprised Hà Nội with a 25–22, 25–23, 25–23 win, holding sixth place. Vietinbank defeated bottom club Geleximco Hưng Yên 25–8, 25–17, 25–11.
Thanh Hóa and Vietinbank both have four victories, but Thanh Hóa's 12 points keep it above Vietinbank, which has 11 and remains seventh. Geleximco Hưng Yên is still last after losing all 12 matches.
Three semifinal places are now secure, while the remaining berth and lower-table outcomes are still unresolved. The competition pauses on 20 October and resumes on 21 October. Long An's qualification is confirmed, but it does not determine the eventual champion or final season standings.
