Thái Nguyên T&T beat TP.HCM II 3-0 on the final afternoon of the 2026 Vietnamese women's national championship (the Thái Sơn Bắc Cup) on 23 October 2026 to finish runners-up on 27 points, Báo Văn Hóa reported. Their only rival for second place, Hà Nội I, drew 1-1 with Than Khoáng sản Việt Nam and ended third. Champions TP.HCM I, who had already been crowned, lost their last game 0-2 to Phong Phú Hà Nam.
The race for second
All three final-round games kicked off at the same time, 15:00, according to Bongdaplus. Thái Nguyên T&T went in on 24 points, one ahead of Hà Nội I, so second place was in their own hands, as Thanh Niên and SGGP both noted.
At Thành Long in Ho Chi Minh City, Thái Nguyên T&T had most of the ball but struggled to break down a well-organised TP.HCM II defence. Bảo Trân finally scored in the 38th minute, Bích Thùy doubled the lead four minutes later, and Dân trí reported that Bích Thùy added the third in the 74th minute.
At Cửa Ông in Quảng Ninh, Hà Nội I needed a win but fell behind in the 9th minute to a goal from Than Khoáng sản Việt Nam's Nguyễn Thị Hải Yến. Four minutes later a Hà Nội I player who shares the name Hải Yến equalised, and it stayed 1-1.
In the other game, at Ngãi Giao, TP.HCM I failed to take their first-half chances and lost 0-2 to Phong Phú Hà Nam, who sealed it in the 88th minute.
