The Vietnam–Laos investment promotion conference took place in Vientiane on October 8 with approximately 650 delegates, according to the Finance Ministry’s October 9 report. Representatives of 11 businesses discussed investment procedures, land, payments and infrastructure links. Proposed follow-up would track requests by project, responsible agency and deadline. The countries’ US$10 billion bilateral trade objective for 2030 remains a future target, rather than a volume already achieved or proof that every discussed project is operational.
